According to the latest USCIS cap count for H1B filings issued on 04/09/2012, 25,600 H1B cases have been filed thus far. It includes 8,200 cases filed against the advanced-degree exemption and 17,400 cases filed against the regular cap. The annual H1B cap limit is 65,000 and there are an additional 20,000 cap exemptions available to those with U.S. advanced degrees.
