  • A rejection is a simple filing error (like a missing signature) that can be corrected, while a denial is an official decision that you are ineligible, which goes on your immigration record and complicates future applications.
  • While a TN denial cannot be appealed, you can reapply after addressing the specific reasons for the refusal. If an extension is denied while you are in the U.S., your work authorization stops immediately, and you must depart by your I-94 expiration date.
